CHICO - SHERWOOD FOREST KIDS' DISC GOLF COURSE

9 basket course designed for kids. and is located at CARD's Hooker Oak Recreation Area. Errol
Flynn's Robin Hood was filmed in this park. Short holes some open, some with obstacles. This site
is operated by CARD, with annual labor donated by the Chico Outsiders.

CHICO - PEREGRINE POINT IN BIDWELL PARK

18 hole advanced disc golf course with concrete tees and baskets operated by the Chico Outsiders.
Stunning
canyon views make this course the most scenic in California. The site includes OB's
designed to preseve native plants on site. Visit our Facebook group for additional information.
The course is often closed during or after wet weather conditions. Visit the city of Chico web site to
determine the status of the site.

OROVILLE - RIVERBEND PARK
 
 
25 minutes from Chico - 1 18-hole course + additional partial course. Baskets and concrete tees,
river for swimming, and many family picnic/park opportunities. Information links to North Course
only but includes directions.
PARADISE - LAVA CREEK GOLF COURSE
 
25 minutes from Chico - 18-hole course with baskets, many tee pads shared with ball golf.
Cost to play is around $5, beverages and snacks are available. Discs are sold at golf pro-shop.
Very scenic and challenging elevation changes. Excellent course. Only after 1 pm daily, closed to

WILLOWS - ROTARY DISC GOLF
 
 
25 minutes from Chico -9-hole course with disc catcher baskets.
ORLAND - BLACK BUTTE LAKE DISC GOLF COURSE
 
40 minutes from Chico -18-hole course with baskets set among rolling hills and oak woodlands.
The course is well designed with a variety of shots. It is located adjacent to camping facilities and
a lake that allows recreational boating/swimming. From county road 206 the disc golf course is on
the left side of the road directly across from the Orland Buttes Recreation Area access road.





DISC GOLF PRACTICE AREAS IN CHICO
These sites have no tee pads and no formal direction of play. Neighborhood parks
have been installed for use by nearby residents. If you plan on driving please head to community parks, Sherwood Forest, or Peregrine Point. The community parks are more appropriate for
for city-wide use. Please be considerate of other recreations and park users and do not play disc golf on holes with others nearby.

3 baskets - Targets are aligned in a triangle about 200' apart, mature trees and some minor elevation
changes make good terrain for setting up a variety of shots.

3 baskets - Targets are aligned in a triangle, small trees and no elevation changes
create limited challenges at this practice site.
PETERSON PARK - NEIGHBORHOOD PARK

great practice site. Targets are aligned in a linear fashion. Avoid playing across other
recreational fields when they are in use.
