Feedback from our last fundraising project:

"It was great to be able to assist the Outsiders with the Sherwood Forest disc golf course.  They proved to be a very wise and dedicated group showing great stewardship of their contributors hard earned money.  They were able to make efficient use of their funds to make the course happen within their budget.  I sincerely appreciate their hard work for the betterment of our community!"
Mark Francis, President & CEO | Golden Valley Bank

"The Sherwood Forest Disc Golf Course has now been complete for almost two years, and the Outsiders continue to dedicate time and resources to help maintain the course. Their commitment to the community in providing instruction and teaching children about disc golf, as well as coordinating volunteers to help maintain the course has been a tremendous help to CARD"
Steve Visconti, General Manager | Chico Area Recreation and Parks District

Every dollar you donate is worth twice the donated amount!
In January of 2010 the Chico City Council voted unanimously to match up to $52,000 in funds for Project 32. Every dollar you donate by purchasing goods, becoming a member, sponsoring a hole, or just making a small contribution is now valued at twice the donated amount.

Why donate?
The Outsiders worked hard on behalf of all park users when we led the effort to restore disc golf to Bidwell Park. Chico's City Council has approved the project conditionally. One of the conditions is that some entity manage and maintain the highway 32 site for recreation. The Outsiders have stepped forward to do this.

This site has been used for decades by the public, and is truly a public asset. Thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds have spent time playing disc golf in Bidwell Park. In this beautiful park setting friendships have been forged and young people have grown older, and wiser. It's time to give back. We need the help from our business community, and from individual donors, to create a well managed public space for future Chicoans to enjoy.

Make a contribution -
You may make a financial contribution of any size, to the Outsiders. These contributions are tax exempt. This money will be used to support recreation in our community through programs such as discs for kids, or through projects like the Sherwood Forest or Project 32. This link may also be used to set up a recurring payment. For example, you can donate $100 at a rate of $10/month. To do this you would select the $10 donation, and click the recurring payment option. Select "Month" and type "10" into the Periods box.

Sponsor Project 32 -
We've set up some specific sponsorship opportunities for the highway 32 disc golf course. Follow this link to Adopt-A-Hole, be a Hole Sponsor, or be a Project Sponsor. You may select more than 1 sponsor opportunity. For example, you could adopt 2 holes or be a hole sponsor and adopt a hole.

Adopt-A-Hole - $100 annually: Adopt a hole for a year and help maintain it and clean it. Your $100 will be used as part of a maintenance fund for disc golf course. This is perfect for small groups, individuals, and families. You name will be listed on the Outsiders kiosk at highway 32 for as long as you adopt the hole(s)*. 18 remaining.

Hole Sponsor - $500 one time: Sponsor a hole and we'll use the funds to place a disc golf basket at the site. Hole sponsors will also be listed on the Outsiders kiosk sign at the site for a period of up to 3 years*. 1 remaining.

Project Sponsor - $2,000 one time: Project sponsors will provide funds for signage, fencing, steps, and concrete tee pads. In other words much of the course infrastructure. Project sponsors will be listed permanently on the Outsiders kiosk*. 0 remaining.

*Time frame starts from time kiosks are installed, roughly summer of 2010. Signage listings are subject to park regulations, but the kiosk here matches that installed at Sherwood Forest (also in Bidwell Park).

Purchase a fundraising disc - sold out

We currently have one style of fundraising disc. The custom stamp design is "Time for Chains" (shown right). We sell them for $20, of which $13 is tax exempt. Proceeds go toward Project 32. Buy a disc for yourself or as gift for that special disc golfer in your life.

We intend to additional custom discs, so check back now and again.
