Why Join?
The Outsiders is a member funded organization. We rely on membership fees to pay the overhead required for us to manage, build, and support recreation in our community. As an organization we run lean, with no employees, and all work initiated by our board of directors. This means your membership fee will be well spent making our community better.

We make a considerable effort to hold regular and unique outings for our members. These include community night hikes, backpacking trips for kids, regular excursions throughout our region to explore other parks, and a host of other events. You'll have fun as an Outsider.

Most importantly, we fight for recreation in our community. You can support our efforts, and lend a hand by joining with us.
How to Join:
You may pay for your membership online by pressing the green join button below. Click and Pledge will process your credit card on their secure web site. The funds are sent directly to the Outsiders. You may pay for more than one membership at a time. If you do, please email us the additional member's information or let us know if you are paying for multiple years. The different membership types are described below.

You can write a check, or pay cash, for an Annual membership. Monthly membership must be paid through Click and Pledge. Membership Types :
 

Full Member:
Cost:  $50 annually.  Members signing up online may pay for their membership in installments.  See the "monthly" member information below. 

Benefits:
Voting – only full members can vote for or serve on the board of directors.

1 Chico Outsiders bag tag (until first bag tag event of the year, usually in May, and while supplies last)

Bag Tag Member (SOLD OUT):
Cost:  $25 annually.  Bag tag membership starts on April 1st and ends the following year on March 31st.  Bag tags will be on sale from April 1st through the final bag tag event held in September or October.  Membership benefits continue until the next year’s tags go on sale. A limited number of tags are available.

  Upgrade from Bag Tag to Full Member:
You may upgrade from a Bag Tag member to a Full member for $25 until October 31st. Your Full membership renewal date will be April 1st.
  Monthly Membership - The Outsiders recognize that it may be difficult for some people to come up with $50 for full membership. Through Click and Pledge we have set up an alternative payment method. . You may pay $10 every 2 months for a 12 month membership (select 5 payment periods). To do this simply click the green "join" button, and fill out the form as shown in the example image below. You must select at least 5 payment periods. You can only become a monthly member by signing up online.
